timesaver traffic with lauren cook good morning. >> reporter: good morning. traffic is picking up. we are dealing with several accidents. there's a crash on the baltimore howard county line. it's on frederick road at river road. another accident on 795 along the northbound lanes at owings mills boulevard. as we look live at 795, here at could bys mil road traffic is moving along. there are not any delays traveling southbound. it's going to take you the normal 10 minutes from westminster pike to the beltway. and here's a live look at the west side of the beltway. traffic is moving along here at liberty road. just 8 minutes right now to travel the outer loop from 795 down to 70 and the east side of the beltway nice and clear. 11 minutes right now on the outer loop from 95 all the way up to 83. that's a look at your abc2 timesaver traffic charley over to you. it's billed as the largest outdoor show and this morning it's called off but at least for now. the eastern sports and outdoors show is held in harrisburg and was slated to open next saturday. but a move by the show's

organizer last week started the ball rolling. reid exhibition ban the sale and display of modern sporting rifles lining the ar15 at the -- things like the ar-15 at the show. at last count, more than 300 vendors pulled out of the show and among them the sponsor cabela's. finally reid announced they would postpone show indefinitely and now the spin begins. some say reid stood up for beliefs and didn't bow down to the nr amount and other guns rights groups and others say it's a victory in the show of sol dearied for the second amendment. the show is all things outdoors from camping to fishing and boating and it's not just about hunting and firearms. it drew tens of thousands of people and more than 1200 vendors. now the vendors along with the hotels and restaurants and harrisburg are counting lost sales not added ref new. total projected -- revenue.

total projected revenue is 54 million. anthony and heson died in police custody in september but the officers involved in his arrest won't face charges. police say that they have been -- he was selling drugs in east baltimore when officers tried to arrest him. at one point, an officer threw anderson to the ground. his family members say was kicked and an autopsy determined the death was a homicide. >> the autopsy tells us you know what we already knew. we knew it because we saw it. but the autopsy confirmed it and it's like they threw all that out the window and just taking the police's word on what happened and that's not fair. it's not fair. >> state's attorney greg bernstein determined the action of one of the officers did cause the death but says that he died during the course of a legitimate arrest and the use of force was not excessive.

two. dorchester county two hours late. they are on a delay and st. mary's county are closed today. >> cecil county will let school out early. the public schools and high school and middle school will get out at one and the elementary school is getting out at 2. >> all this ahead of the weather. let's go over to meteorologist lynette charles and check out what we are in store for. >> we are in store for snow. and we can see it spinning around michigan around the great lakes. and this will all dive off toward the south and east. and we can see some of that snow leading into west virginia as of now. and this will only get closer as we go through the day. right now, though, on maryland's most powerful radar we are dry but changes are coming going into 2 or 3 this afternoon. and with this, we do have a winter weather advisory that is in effect at 2 today. until 9 for all the areas shaded here in the blue. so we are talking about our entire viewing area. we are going to be dealing with the cold temperatures once again. we are not going to get out of this until the end of next week.

but temperatures will begin to go up. so it's 16 in hanover. and we are talking about 15 in parkton and catonsville is at 15 this morning. you know what you need to do. bundle it up as you head out. as we look at the planner, we are planning for flurries around 3:00 be a the -- and the snow will be in here by 7. this is on the tail end of the commute. it's going to be a dicey one. take it eatsy on the roadways and speaking of the roadways let's check the abc2 timesaver traffic with lauren cook good morning. >> reporter: good morning. the snow will impact your evening commute but right now we have our fair share of problems. a crash on 795 along the northbound lanes of owings mills. no delays southbound down towards the beltway. there's another crash on the baltimore howard county line. that has shut down westbound lanes of frederick road at 9 mile circle. if you are traveling on interstate 70, no delays from columbia pike over to 695. and checking in and looking live at the west side of the beltway, here at old court road traffic is starting to pick up on the outer loop. from old court road to route

40. if you are traveling in hunt valley this morning, here's what it look like. 83 at shawan and nice and clear no problems traveling southbound towards the beltway. and it will remain clear as you get on to the jfx. and head downtown. we have a crash in baltimore city to watch out for on howard street at conway street and another accident in northeast baltimore on sinclair lane at chesterfield avenue. that's your abc2 timesaver traffic. now over to you. 6:46. more snow is on the way just in time for the drive home tonight. and the state highway is hoping to prevent a repeat of what happened yesterday morning. abc2 news sherrieionis live with more on what's being done to prepare. what can you tell us? >> reporter: well, we are here live from brooklynville overlooking 695 and traffic is definitely picked up this morning. the roads look fine right now. but you know the state highway administration says they are prepared for today's possible snow. we a want to repeat yesterday. state highway officials say they didn't pretreat wednesday

night but the roads will be ready today. highway officials say one reason you saw so much on the road yesterday was because of pavement temperatures. they were too low so anything that was sprayed would freeze. the maryland state high wade administration is reminding drivers to prepare for snow this afternoon because of the pavement, temperatures below 20 degrees, the state highway administration will not pretreat using salt due to potential freezing on the roads. now, crews have been out on patrol overnight preparing for icy conditions. >> let's take a lesson and get ready and prepare because the schools are letting out early or during the storm, people are leaving work, we could potentially have an even worse gridlock. >> reporter: fill your gas tank, make sure you have window washer fluid and ice scraper and a charged cell phone and an alternate route for your travel plans just in case there is a crash. you know there are -- be prepared if you are sitting in

this morning and park wil. both 18 degrees. we are at 14 in pylesville and denton coming in at 18. marchedela springs at 18 and annapolis as well. we have temperatures in the teens. if we have the winds kick up a -- winds kick up a little bit we will feel like we are in the single digits as we go into the afternoon or actually this morning we will feel like the teens this afternoon. satellite and radar also going to be bringing snow across the area. this is the big story. everybody wants to know how much we will get. i will show you totals in a second. we can see it squeaking down across west virginia. so this could arrive a little sooner than depicted maybe around 1 instead of 3:00 time frame. but we are going to be dealing with some snow coming in across the area. that potential is here. now this is the clipper that's down across michigan. this is the one that will slide and work its way in here throughthe rest of the afternoon and evening. we are watching this area of low pressure developing along a cold front. if the two come together, we

will be seeing more snowfall across the area. we are just thinking that we will get the clipper system. so with that, we are thinking one to two inch of snow and we could have local amounts of 2 ormore. so be prepared for that as well. it's going to be the type of snow you can sweep. you don't have to shovel. we have too much dry air in place for that. here it comes around 3:00. i am thinking earlier than three as of now. but temperature wise today, we will stay in the low 20s, feeling like the teens if the winds kick up. the self-day forecast, if you don't like the cold weather, we have the warming trend in effect by the middle of the week. let's check the abc2ver traffic with lauren cook. >> reporter: good morning. that snow will make for a hectic commute and this morning we are dealing with several accidents. trouble on baltimore howard county line. a crash shut down the westbound lanes of frederick road at 9 mile circle. problems persist on 795 where there's an didn't along the northbound lanes at the off- ramp to owings mills. no delays southbound headed towards the beltway.
